Lungu’s motorcade crushes cyclist to death in Malambo

A vehicle in President Edgar Lungu ‘s motorcade this morning killed one person In Malambo as the Presidential motorcade was leaving his lodge to the airport enroute to Petauke on his continued campaign trail.

An eyewitness told the Watchdog from Malambo that the incident happened at Malumpa village as the Presidential motorcade was driving to the airport.

“What happened was that this person was riding on a motor cycle and it was on the curve. He was actually on the right but the vehicle in the Presidential motorcade bashed the guy and he died on the spot.
“We await to see how the police are going to deal with this matter as they were on the wrong,” said the eyewitness who feared to be named.
Meanwhile villagers in Malumpa are angered by the killing of their own by the presidents motorcade.
The villagers complained that apart from the hardships the PF had put them through, there were now being killed by vehicles on the Presidential motorcade.

President Lungu had more than 30 vehicles in his motor cade and 6 choppers which he is using in the campaigns.
