Lungu’s supporters chased from Government House

Edgar Lungu’s supporters were Thursday morning prevented from entering Government House where they had gone to collect accreditation cards for the Patriotic Front General Conference which starts on 29th November 2014.
The cadres who were led by Adam Mwanza who is a councilor in Chawama were prevented from entering government house by Machete welding rival PF cadres who have been stationed inside Government House.
Supporters of rival PF camps being prevented access to Government House have condemned the use of Government House for accreditation and have demanded that the accreditation be done from the PF secretariat situated at Lusaka House.
The cadres accused the organisers of the general conference of scheming evil judging from what they said was happening at Government House.
‘You people from the media should go to Government House and see for yourself what is happening there, some people are planning evil,’ complained a PF cadre and delegate to the general conference.
And Kabwata Member of Parliament and PF presidential aspirant Given Lubinda has complained that there are no clear ground rules for delegates.
Lubinda said the lack of a clear definition of rules for delegates was a recipe for trouble likening it to walking on ‘sinking sand.’
Meanwhile the police command has deployed 1,000 police officers to provide security at the PF general conference to be held at Mulungushi Rock of Authority in Kabwe.
