Luo says students beaten by police are terrorists

Higher Education Minister Nkandu Luo says Copperbelt University students who were beaten by police for protesting over meal allowances are terrorists paid to cause confusion and make the Patriotic Front (PF) regime look bad.

The students rioted but were savagely beaten by police after Luo suspended their meal allowances.

But Luo told Pan African Radio that the students are a paid clique of ‘ Al-shabaab’.  Al-Shabaab, is a jihadist terrorist group based in East Africa

When asked who is behind the Al Shabaab’s funding to instigate violence at the Campus,  Luo declined to comment but referred that query to CBU Vice Chancellor saying he is the closest person to such daily activities.
