Lusaka High Court overturns deregistration of DF

The Patriotic Front (PF) attempt to block Matero Member of Parliament Miles Sampa from heading the Democratic Front (DF) has hit a snag after the Lusaka High Court overturned the decision by Home Affairs Minister Davis Mwila to deregister the party.
Mwila’s decision was overturned by the High Court on Tuesday after Sampa took the matter to court.
And Miles Sampa has charged that it was clear from the way the DF was deregistered by Home Affairs Minister Davis Mwila that the issue was political.
Sampa has charged that David Chanda who was claiming ownership of the party was sponsored by the PF to cause confusion and has further challenged Home Affairs Minister Davis Mwila to also deregister the MMD since they have two factions fighting for party leadership.
