Zambia national football team coach George Lwandamina has invited 24 players from the domestic league for a residential training camp to kick start preparations for the 2018 Fifa World Cup second round, first leg qualification match scheduled for November 11 against Sudan.
Lwandamina has maintained the same squad that faced Mozambique over two legs in African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers with the exception of Power Dynamos midfielder Kennedy Mudenda whose omission sees Zesco United midfielder Clatous Chama being invited.
Chama has played a pivotal role in Zesco United’s retention of the MTN FAZ Super League having contributed seven goals.
Lwandamina has also maintained faith in Mwila Phiri, Moses Phiri and Mwape Mwelwa.
The invited players were expected to report on Sunday, latest being midday Monday for those who featured for their clubs on Sunday.
