Lwandamina satisfied with draw against Gambia

Zambia national football team coach George Lwandamina has expressed satisfaction with the goalless draw in the international friendly match played against Gambia in Bakau on Monday evening.
Both teams used the match to prepare for their respective 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers scheduled for June 4.
Zambia will be away to Guinea Bissau while Gambia hosts South Africa.
Monday’s friendly match came on the back of another played against Togo on Friday.
Lwandamina said there were many positives and negatives he picked from the two friendly matches.
He pointed out that the most important thing was to gauge the team against West African opposition in preparation for Guinea Bissau.
“The result was fair because Gambia gave us a good test. They attacked and we defended well; we did not do much in attack. At least Gambia has given us a feeling of what to expect against Guinea Bissau because West African teams play the same aggressive type of football,” said Lwandamina.
The Chipolopolo flew to Guinea Bissau immediately after the match and have since arrived in Bissau.
