President Michael Sata has created another ministry as a way of marking International Women’s Day.
Sata has upgraded the Gender division of Cabinet office to a full cabinet ministry.
Sata has also transferred Chiefs Affairs Minister Inonge Wina to the Ministry of Gender as cabinet Minister.
He has has promoted Gender Deputy Minister Emerine Kabanshi to the Ministry of Chiefs Affairs as Cabinet Minister.
When he was sworn in last year, Sata promised to run a small cabinet as a way of serving public resources.
That time he appointed an 18 man cabinet as opposed to the 23 ministries under the MMD.
But he has since gone overboard creating, realigning and upgrading ministries.
At present, its not clear how many ministries there are in Zambia.
