Two unavoidable but still expensive by-elections are expected one in Mansa Central in Luapula province and a record fourth time in Livingstone Central, Southern province.
In Mansa Central, incumbent PF MP who is also Information and Broadcasting minister has reportedly requested president Michael Sata to relieve him of his duties both as minister and also quit his parliamentary seat to allow him take care of his health.
Sources within the PF have told the Watchdog that Sakeni, who is currently on another medical leave and receiving treatment in India, actually made a request to quit government early this year but president Sata has been refusing.
Sources said sometime in February this year, even Sakeni’s relatives went to Sata requesting that the man be spared of strenuous activities but Mr. Sata refused.
Labour Minister, Fackson Shamenda, popularly referred to as ‘Fuck Well’ by his boss Sata is currently acting Information and Broadcasting Minister.
In Livingstone, self-confessed Satanists and newly elected PF MP, Lawrence Evans has been bed-ridden for sometime now and was recently flown to a South African hospital where his health is reportedly not improving.
Mr. Evans won an acrimonious by-election that even saw the ruling PF killing two of their cadres, Henry Chanda, and Obvious Mwaliteta’s house-boy at their camp.
