DORA Siliya’s lover Mark Ode Mubalama has been taken to court on four counts of giving false information to a public officer.
Mubalama, 40, of Lusaka’s Ibex Hill, is in the first count accused of making a false statement to a passport officer that his father is a Zambian from Mwinilunga district in Kawiku village of chief Kanongesha while knowing the same to be false.
Mubalama’s case has been allocated to Lusaka magistrate Betty Malupenga but he did not appear before court by press time.
The second count alleges that Mubalama made a false statement to a public officer at the National Registration, Passport and Citizenship Office that he attended school at Kansenshi primary and secondary schools from 1981 to 1993 while believing the same to be false.
Mubalama is also facing another charge of giving false information to consular staff at the Zambian High Commission in Windhoek, Namibia, that his father is Zambian when in fact not.
The accused is further charged with giving false information to consular staff that he attended his primary and secondary education at Ndola’s Kansenshi primary and secondary schools.
Mubalama is alleged to have made the false statements from December 30, 2010 to September 10, 2012.
He was arrested on Monday by Immigration officers and taken straight to Lusaka Central Remand Prison, commonly known as Chimbokaila.
