Masaiti MP is new lands minister

President Rupiah Banda has appointed Masaiti Member of Parliament Gladys Lundwe as minister of lands.
Lundwe has been up to now deputy minister of sport and previously of energy and water development.
President Banda’ special Assistant for Press and Public Relations Dickson Jere confirmed to the Watchdog that Lundwe’ s appointment is with immediate effect.
Nundwe takes the place of Peter Daka who was moved to the ministry of agriculture. Former agriculture minister Brian Chituwo is now minister of science and technology.

He took over from Gabriel Namulambe who was fired amid tribal remarks attributed to him.
