Patriotic Front (PF) Chongwe Aspiring Candidate Sylvia Masebo has reported the Movement for Multi-party Democracy (MMD) to the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) for allegedly distributing maize in the constituency in order to canvass for votes ahead of the forthcoming elections.
Masebo also charged that President Rupiah Banda has killed institutions such as the judiciary and as such the opposition cannot receive fair trial from the courts.
She also accused the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) of failing to uphold the electoral code of conduct and allowing citizens to lose confidence in the country’s electoral system.
Masebo further noted that President is the one to blame for all the violence the nation is experiencing ahead of the September 20 polls as such had never been such chaos in the past regimes.
She advised the head of state to come out in the open and denounce all forms of violence so that peace can prevail in the country.
