Veteran Politician General Malimba Masheke has commended political parties for conducting peaceful campaigns, a though some critical issues were overlooked.
Speaking to 5fm, Masheke said that the candidates highlighted a lot of issues but did not say much on what would be done to improve the livelihoods of the poor in society.
He noted that the country needs a leader who will have a heart for the people and address the predicaments of the less privileged.
Masheke advised Zambians to rise above tribal politics and the issues of age limit for aspirants but choose a leader who has integrity and credibility.
He urged the voters to turn out in numbers and exercise their democratic right in a peaceful manner.
