Masumba arrested for firing live gun-shots during new-year celebrations

Former Sports Deputy Minister Stephen Masumba under Michael Sata has become the first high profile 2014 offender again after being arrested for firing live Pistol gun-shots as part of his new year celebrations on the Copperbelt.

Mr. Masumba, popularly known as ‘jumping castle’ could not probably distinguish between fire-works and gun-shots that could easily have injured people in the area.

Now a typical PF cadre who does not fear guns and Pangas, Masumba, who is also PF Mufumbwe MP, was recently convicted by the Lusaka Magistrate Court for forging a NIPA diploma but is looming the streets on bail after appealing his conviction to the High Court.

President Sata has since dumped him after achieving what he wanted from him which was to create an unnecessary by-election soon after PF won elections.
