MATIBINI ADMITS NAMWALA MP WAS SUSPENDED BY MISTAKE, REVOKES HER SUSPENSION

Speaker of the National Assembly Patrick Matibini has admitted that Namwala UPND Member of Parliament Moono Lubezhi was erroneously suspended for boycotting Lungu’s address to parliament.

Following the suspension of 48 opposition parliamentarians, Mbabala UPND MP Ephraime Belemu raised a point of order on 14th June 2017 indicating that Hon Lubezhi was suspending despite having sort leave of absence to attend a court session while himself was erroneously omitted and requested to be suspended as well.

Matibini said he has since been informed that Lubezhi was granted permission to attend a court case and her suspension was therefore inadvertently regrettable.

‘I Hereby amend my ruling of 13th June 2017 to reflect that she was absent with permission on 17th March 2017,’ Matibini said.

Now remember that this Matibini chap was once a judge. So how many innocent people did he send to jail due to his laziness and incompetance?

So if this was a criminal charge, this MP would have been languishing in prison due to Matibini’s lack of foresight.
