The UPND has spread its campaigners in rural areas with Sampa and co demolishing PF in Muchinga; GBM, Dr Mumba, Nalumango, Major Kachingwe and others in Northern and Luapula while Dr Banda and Levi ‘Sinda’ Ngoma are quietly tearing apart PF in Eastern province. Sylvia Masebo, Mwaliteta and others are causing havoc in Lusaka rural while Dr Maureen Mwanawasa is leading campaigners in Copperbelt rural. Once in a while, the campaigners converge in either Lusaka or any of the major cities on the Copperbelt for mega rallies.
This is a deliberate move to concentrate on former PF strongholds under Sata.
Result: president Edgar Lungu is forced to defend what he considers to be his votes in Northern province by being there all the time and neglecting other parts of the country. No wonder people are saying while HH is gaining in former PF ‘territories’, Lungu is actually losing even the little votes he could have acquired in UPND strongholds.
Last week, Lungu even missed the African Union summit.
In the photos, Sampa seen today telling voters in Chama, one of the remotest areas of muchinga province to vote for UPND.
