Minister Musosha barred from contesting MMD poisition

Deputy Minister of Education Chrispin Musosha has been barred from standing for any MMD position in Luapula province.

The party was by 16 hours local time Monday holding provincial elections in Mansa.

But Musosha, who wanted to run for the position of provincial chair, was barred beacause ‘he is not in good standing with the party’.

The real reason however seems to be Musosha’ statement that only Aushi people should be allowed to lead the party in the province.

He has been fighting with the provincial leadership led by former Bahati MP Emmanuel Chungu and provincial minister Boniface Kawimbe.

Musosha and his supporters walked out in protest but the meeting was going on by time of writing this and elections scheduled to take place later in the day.
