Minister Mwaliteta resigns

Kafue member of parliament Obvious Mwaliteta has tendered his resignation as Lusaka province minister. According to a letter obtained by various media houses, the Kafue lawmaker’s move is as a result of desatisfaction of Lungu’s leadership style.

A source close to the development disclosed that Mwaliteta has not yet indicated his next political move as but he will announce very soon. The source further said that though he is faced with a challenge of lacking a grade 12 certificate restricting him from contesting on any elective position, his next move will be revealed very soon.

This morning UPND had a press briefing at Chainama hotel which saw 12 MMD members of parliament endorsing the candidature of Hakainde Hichilema ahead of the August 11th general elections. in addition, 3 ward councilors from Chilanga and all their structures defected to the UPND at the same occasion.
