Documentary evidence shows that she currently owes the bank about K9, 000. She has been rudely refusing to respond to NATSAVE debt recovery officers who have been pursuing her for the debt.

Kampamba obtained K65,000.00 (Sixty-Five Thousand Kwacha) from NATSAVE on 30th March, 2015 with the key condition that she would be making Monthly repayment of K8,154.69 over a period of (09) Nine Months. She was supposed to make the final payment in December but then she was appointed minister of information and decided that there was no need to repay small loans.

Readers will recall that Kampamba was the DC for Kalulushi but she was fired in the first quarter of 2015. With no stable source of income to support her lavish lifestyle, the ex-wife of footballer Tenant Chilumba resorted to borrowing from bank to bank.

Up to November 2016, when she was jobless, Kampamba was a good ‘girl’ and valuable customer as she was repaying her loan without being reminded. The Watchdog is informed that Kampamba was being nice to the bank as she had planned to apply for a bigger loan after liquidating the K65, 000.

But when she was appointed minister, she suddenly landed on money and other free but expensive material things that PF ministers enjoy. She therefore decided to forget about the small NATSAVE and its small loans.

From December 1, 2016, when the last repayment was due, debt recovery officers have been sweating even to contact her.
