A group of minsters, MPs and senior PF officials has gone to confront acting president Guy Scot at his residence in Lusaka West of his move to dismiss Edgar Lungu as Secretary General.
The ministers Edgar Lungu, Chishimba Kambwili, and former defence ministers Geoffrey Mwamba first met at a caucus at Kambwili’s ministerial home in Kabulonga with Central committee Members, MPS and other senior officials resolved to send an emissary of about 11 officials to meet Scott.
A member of the Fred M’membe cartel Miles Sampa has joined the group and was in the caucus,
During the caucus, the emotionally charged officials proposed to expel Scot for activities that border on provocation, insensitivity to cultural norms and extreme indiscipline displayed so far.
They also accused Scott of allowing Fred Mmembe and his group of to illegally take charge of state and party functions using the Office of the Acting President of the Country and Party.
However the team led by Miles Sampa called for negotiation and resolution over the impasse created by the purported dismissal of Edgar Lungu as Secretary General hence the move to go and meet Scott at the farm.
