MISA HQ dissolves Zambia chapter board

The Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) Trust Fund Board has dissolved the Zambian chapter leadership.

The Trust Fund Board is the highest organ in MISA and the legal owners of MISA. MISA headquarters is in Namibia and has chapters in all SADC countries.

This follows the squables that has rocked the chapter thereby threatening to undermine the entire MISA in the SADC region. Donors have threatened to withhold funding to MISA if the petty quareling in MISA continued.

MISA Trust Fund Board chaiperson  Mandla Seleoane announced the dissolution today at the MISA Zambia secretariat.

He has also banned all the members of the dissolved board from contesting any leadership position in MISA again.

He has directed that MISA Zambia should hold a general Meeting on October 25, 2010.

He has also ordered that MISA Zambia founding national director Fanwell Chembo be brought back as caretaker.

The banned team comprise,  Henry Kabwe (currently under a local suspension) Felistus Chipako, Mulenga Kabiti, Grace Zulu, Talent N’gandwe,
Joseph Mkandawire, Mulenga Kasembe Chisunka, Nyambe Muyumbana and Mutemwa Makomani.
