Mission succesful: Zambians evacuated from Llibya

The 33 Zambians who were trapped in the violence in Libya have been evacuated.
The 33, who include diplomats and newly married football star Felix Katongo and his wife arrived at the Lusaka International airport around 05 hours Sunday.
The evacuees were rescued using a Zambezi airliner.
Foreign Affairs Minister, Kabinga Pande, was at the airport to seek political capital and a group photo.
He was quoted saying that his boss president Banda has been worried about the safety of Zambian in the country on the brink of civil war.
He said president Banda has been calling regularly and was informed the minute the Zambians landed.
The Government is said to have spent US$400 thousand on this mission.
