MMD challenges President Lungu to discipline Chama

The Movement for Multi-Party Democracy (MMD) has challenged President Edgar Lungu to discipline PF Secretary General Davies Chama over his statement that the PF has swallowed MMD.
And Chama’s statement that the UPND will never rule Zambia unless Tongas continue in Polygamous marriages has been described as reckless.
MMD Spokesperson Raphael Nakachinda said Tuesday evening that they thought President Edgar Lungu meant well when he proposed to work with the MMD in a loose alliance but has since expressed concern at PF manoeuvres to wipe out the (Nevers Mumba) MMD.
Nakachinda said the MMD is waiting for President Edgar Lungu’s reaction to Davies Chama’s statement.
He said Chama was a danger to the country’s democracy and governance system adding that the statements have exposed Chama’s shallow understanding of democracy.
Nakachinda said the PF should gain popularity by giving Zambians a good constitution, reducing the price of meaie-meal and stop reckless borrowing as opposed to buying MMD members.
And Chama’s statement that the UPND will never rule Zambia unless Tongas continue in Polygamous marriages has been described as reckless.
Nakachinda expressed dismay at Chama’s statement that Tongas will only rule Zambia after 100 years if they produce more children through polygamous marriages.
