MMD gets Mwandi, Kapiri and Solwezi central

The MMD has scooped the Mwandi Parliamentary seat in Western Province.

The MMD has also won the Solwezi central seat in North-western province.

MMD’s Michael Kaingu polled 3-thousand 7-hundred and 89 votes, while UPND’s Bernadette Lubasi got 1 thousand 7 hundred and 73 votes in the second position.

Collins Mwanamwalye of the PF got 8 hundred and 49 votes and ADD’s Mike Mushaukwa got 4 hundred and 61 votes.

Returning Officer, for Mwandi Constituency Kyanamina Simasiku declared Mr Kaingu as winner of the Mwandi parliamentary seat Wednesday night around 21:00 hours.

And MMD’s Lawrence Zimba has scooped the parliamentary seat for Kapiri Mposhi Constituency after he polled 16-thousand 5-hundred and 75 votes.

His closest rival PF’s Eddie Musonda polled 9-thousand 5-hundred and 19 votes.

And UPND’s Robby Chungwa was third with 6-thousand 6-hundred and 54 voteS, while, UNIP’s Bishop Maluti managed to get only 8-hundred and 84 votes.

Returning Officer for Kapiri Mposhi Constituency, Jimmy Musweu declared Mr. Lawrence Zimba of MMD as the dully elected Member of Parliament for Kapiri Mposhi after totaling results from 89 polling stations in the constituency.
