United Party for National Development (UPND) President Hakainde Hichilema has charged that the Movement for Multi-party D emocracy (MMD) is at pains to clarify it developmental achievements to the people as it leaves much to be desired.
Hichilema said it is disheartening to note that the MMD has failed the nation in its 20year rule as development is only explained and not seen.
Meanwhile, UPND Spokesperson Charles Kakoma has cautioned the ruling MMD to desist from telling the nation that it is popular in Southern Province as such is a fallacy.
Kakoma said the Province is still a UPND stronghold and the MMD’s desire to capture it is wishful thinking.
Speaking to Hot fm, He noted that it is impossible for ruling party to be accepted citing that it failed terribly in a current by-election held in Siavonga district of Southern Province.
Kakoma further said his party is aware that the MMD is distributing money in the Province and advised the electorate to collect all gifts but teach the ruling party a lesson by not voting for it.
