Most of the MMD MPs serving as deputy ministers and were asked by president Michael Sata to resign are currently in the constituencies telling MMD counsellors to resign along with them.
The MPs themselves are expected to start resigning this week. MMD Kabombo East MP Danny Chingimbu may resign this weekend as he was Saturday afternoon at a meeting talking about his intention to quit MMD and join PF.
The MPs were give K50 million each by Sata last time when they went to State House.
Mkaika MP David Phiri was however snubbed by counselors who told him to go away. He is in Katete trying to convince MMD officials to resign with him.Richard Taima also was by Saturday afternoon also meeting his counsellors asking them to quit with him.
Forrie Tembo is also said to be having difficulties convincing counsellors in Nyimba to resign with him.
