MMD tells PF to go ahead and sue Chanda Chimba

The Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) has turned against freelance journalist, Chanda Chimba III, and
advised the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) to take him to court to answer charges of defamation.

MMD Lusaka Province Youth Secretary, James Lukuku, said taking Mr. Chimba III to court was the best way of making him answerable for his
deeds.

Mr. Chimba III literally campaigned for the MMD party in the pre-election period using his “Stand Up for Zambia” television
documentary.

In this same programme, Mr. Chimba demonized President Sata and suggested to Zambians not to vote for him in the 2011 tripartite
elections.

The programme exposed and foretold the dictatorship and chaos that Sata would bring on Zambia.

Mr. Lukuku, who was flanked by MMD Lusaka Province chairman William Banda, was speaking at a press briefing in Lusaka today.

And Mr. Lukuku has said PF government’s attempts to prosecute immediate past President Rupiah Banda were meant to divert attention
from developmental projects which the former President initiated.

He charged that the PF government’s corruption crusade was targeted at a few individuals belonging to MMD regime

Meanwhile, Mr. Lukuku has said the MMD will bounce back to power in 2016.

He thanked MMD members who have remained loyal to the party and strongly condemned those who have defected to the ruling PF.
