MMD to hold rallies at police sations

The Movement for Multi Party Democracy (MMD) says it has resolved to be holding its political meetings at police Stations.

MMD Vice President for politics Dr. Michael Kaingu says this is as a result of the failure by the police to grant the party permits to hold political meetings.

Dr Kaingu further expressed disappointment at failure by the Zambia Police to grant them a permit despite being given adequate time.

And Dr. Kaingu has charged that the party will hold its meeting scheduled for tomorrow at Livingstone Central Police station yard.

Dr Kaingu has since appealed to other opposition leaders to follow suit, adding that the opposition seems not to be allowed to hold public meetings any more.
