Political parties in Western Province have added their voice to people and NGOs denouncing political violence during campaigns for the tripartite elections.
And the youths from the Patriotic Front, UPND and the MMD in the province have formed a joint task force to promote peace during and after the September 20 polls.
Organizer of the Campaign Joseph Mukelabai has told ZNBC News that the campaign which was launched last week in Mongu is proving to be an effective way of stopping political violence.
And Patriotic Front Western Province Deputy Youth Chairman Edgar Liomba says there is need to educate youths on violence because they are the ones who are mostly used to cause confusions during elections.
UPND Youth Chairman Shadrick Mungomba says the aim of the campaign is to sensitize youths that violence does not pay.
And MMD Provincial Secretary Fine Likando says the MMD is a peaceful party as witnessed by numerous public calls which President Rupiah Banda has made on the need to denounce violence.
