MMD’s Chiyawa bridge named after missing Sata

The MMD started newly constructed Chiyawa bridge in Kafue District that was built at a total cost of K53million has been named after president Michael C. Sata’s name.

Commissioning the bridge the Vice President Dr. Guy Scott said the decision to name the bridge after president Sata’s name follows wide consultations from different stakeholders in the country.

Scott yesterday, Friday, said this was the only way to honor President Sata during his time in office.

As usual Scott was representing the missing Sata at the commissioning of the bridge whose financing was sought by the former ruling party MMD.

Sata has been missing in action for more than two months now.
