MMD’s Muhabi Lungu appointed as ambassador to China, another Rupiah appointment

Screen Shot 2015-07-19 at 14.36.41President Edgar Lungu’s godfather in the Wako ni Wako administration Rupiah Banda has ordered Lungu to appoint former MMD National Secretary Muhabi Lungu as Zambia’s Ambassador to China.

Lungu has obliged. Muhabi, a close ally of Rupiah who are now controlling PF, is currently undergoing diplomatic training in Lusaka.

Muhabi was initially being considered to take over as PF deputy Secretary General and later promoted to take over from Davies Chama but Lungu felt uncomfortable and requested that Muhabi instead be given a more lucrative and paying job as an ambassador to China. Edgar Lungu feared that supplanting PF members directly and replacing them with true blue MMD officials would backfire.

The main casualties of all these appointments are the true PF members who are now being fired as they watch helplessly their jobs being taken away. Still, PF cadres keep making noise shouting ‘pabwato’ on empty stomachs.

Since the PF are failing to create any jobs for Zambians, PF cadres who suffered with Micchael Sata to remove the MMD thought they would get these jobs. But Lungu is now giving jobs to the same MMD officials.
