Mutinta Mazoka M’membe has been granted a K3, 000 bail by Lusaka magistrate Faides Hamaundu.
Mutinta, 39 of plot no 7345 Rhodespark who is the wife to Post Newspapers in liquidation Editor-in-Chief Fred M’membe was granted bail in her own recognizance.
She has been charged for allegedly obstructing police officers who had gone to her residence to execute a search warrant.
Magistrate Hamaundu has since set 3rd March, 2016 as the date for commencement of trial.
Heavily armed police officers yesterday stormed M’membe’s house and attempted to search it but in the process Mutinta and one of her security personnel, a Mr Nawa were arrested and detained at Kabwata police.
Latter in the evening Police went back to search Fred M’membe’s house in the presence of Mutinta but they did not find anything.
After the search she was taken back into detention but moved to Woodlands Police Station. M’membe himself is believed to be out of the country.
