Monde suspended for bringing name of UPND into disrepute

mondeThe United Party for National Development (UPND) has commenced the process of formally expelling its Itezhi tezhi Member of Parliament Greyford Monde who has taken up his appointment as Agriculture deputy Minister in the PF government, going against the party’s stance.

UPND Secretary General Winston Chibwe has since announced the suspension from the party of Monde with immediate effect.
In his letter of suspension,  Chibwe has given Mr. Monde three days in which to appear before the party’s disciplinary committee and exculpate himself.
The UPND has specifically charged Mr. Monde for putting the party’s name in disrepute and public hate by allegedly issuing unauthorized statements as well as failure to obey and carryout party instructions.
Mr. Chibwe says it is for the above reasons that his membership to the party is questionable and that his motive is malicious and with intent to destabilize and injure the good image and reputation of the party.
