Mongu mourns in darkness, thanks to Zesco

As Mongu residents mourn the Litunga’s wife, the entire Mongu town has been blacked out by Zesco.

By 22 hours local time, the entire Mongu had no power. Earlier in the evening, Zesco also blacked out Mongu when a requiem Mass for the Queen of Barotse had just began at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Mongu. The priests had to use candles to light the church.

Meanwhile, burial for Late Mouyo Imwambo Rosaleen Mulako Lisulu Imwiko takes place on Monday 17 the March, 2014 at Mutuwambwa near Sefula the birth place for of the late queen.
