The Bible Gospel Church in Africa (BIGOCA) has disassociated itself from publications being circulated in Lusaka that Bishop Peter Ndhlovu is the patron of the United Progressive Party (UPP.)
Bishop Ndlovu joins wife of former president Fredrick Chiluba is denying membership the Party which is run by former Kasama MP Savior Chishimba.
Reverend Kanyenda, on behalf of BOGOCA said the publications which are suggesting that bishop Ndhlovu was UPP patron were false and malicious.
He said BIGOCA accommodates a membership from a cross-section of people from various political parties, NGOs and will not discriminate against anyone based on their political affiliation or gender.
Reverend Kanyenda said the church welcomes and embraces people from all walks of life, race and gender and will remain non-partisan.
He said those wishing to drag the church in the political arena should desist from such conduct and no amount of cheap propaganda will derail Gods work.
Meanwhile REV Kayenda has advised the public to ignore the malicious publications.
The flyer has UPP founder Saviour Chishimba as the president, Mrs Chiluba as president for women’s league, Matero MP Faustina Sinyangwe, vice-president and former PF secretary general Edward Mumbi as acting secretary general.
Others are Bishop Peter Ndhlovu as patron, Guy Mulenga is the youth chairperson while Mr Zulu was said to be the information and publicity secretary.
