President Edgar Lungu has appointed PF aligned journalists into the foreign service as Press attaches, while most of those who were appointed by late Michael Sata are being recalled. The appointees are scheduled to begin orientations next week prior to their posting.
According to a state house source, some of the names appointed are ZNBC’s Bangwe Naville, Inutu Mupango Mwanza and George Chomba and Wallen Simwaka from ex convict Richard Sakala’s newspaper Daily Nation.
Former State house press aide George Chellah’s girlfriend but married woman Inutu is being rewarded for being a propagandist for Lungu’s wife Esther as she is the one who has been covering most of her trips when she goes gallivanting round the country and beyond while Bangwe who was once fired from Muvi TV is the paid megaphone who has been singing praises of PF projects including the roads that are cracking now. Bangwe is tipped to go to India while Inutu is UK bound.
While George Chomba has some bit of decency in him, Simwaka has been the news editor at Sakala’s company. Simwaka, a printing machine operator cum journalist is also a treacherous and unreliable person who was fired from Daily Mail for incompetency but more for theft and will take his thieving and incompetency to New York while Chomba is China bound.
