More police officers sent to Mongu

Inspector General of Police Francis Kabonde says enough Police Officers have been sent to Mongu to quail any possible violence.

Mr Kabonde has since warned people circulating flyers that non Lozi speaking leave the province that they risk being arrested.

Mr Kabonde has warned that people should stay away from the meeting that has been called for January 14.

He was speaking in a telephone interview with TV 2 News in Lusaka on Monday.

The Police Chief says his men and women are ready to protect the Zambian constitution and warned that individuals causing unrest will be arrested.

He says Police will work to ensure that the situation in Mongu is under control.
