More pressure for Lungu as Inonge wants Lubinda in cabinet

Vice-President Inonge Wina has pleaded to Rupiah Banda and president Edgar Lungu to appoint Given Lubinda as Cabinet minister. Government sources says Lungu and his godfather Rupiah Banda have agreed and would most likely appoint Lubinda Information minister or give him one of the new ministries being created.
Wina and Lubinda are very close friends. They both started their political caries as UPND MPs. They later joined Sakwiba Sikota’s ULP before joining Sata’s PF.
Though Lungu has reluctantly accepted to appoint Lubinda, he personally fears that Lubinda will again challenge him in 2016. So far Lungu is trying to avoid appointing people who can challenge him and instead would rather surround himself with women.
On the other hand, Inonge Wina could also be building her own team for 2016 and Lubinda is just the right person to back her or her to back Lubinda.
Lungu has been advised that his cabinet must not be dominated by people from the Northern parts of the country otherwise they will flush him out in 2016.
