United Party for National Development (UPND) President approval ratings in Lusaka shot up from 49 percent to 63 percent following his appearance at the Kabwata Police Station, an intelligence source has disclosed.
An intelligence source says the system always conducts approval ratings every month on opposition party leaders and Hakainde Hichilema was on 49 percent end of April and a snap survey was conducted yesterday that shows HH increasing his rating to 63 per cent. The source says close to 5000 people gave solidarity to HH between Kabwata Police and UPND Secretariat.
” It backfired on the Police. It was even better to give HH a permit for a rally because the number of people HH reached out was close to 5000 people courtesy of Charity Katanga,” the source said. Further the source said it was embarrasing for government to summon HH for visiting people because the same day the Police summoned HH, Miles Sampa the Commerce Deputy Minister was also touring some areas in Lusaka.
