MP Nsanda’s daughter arrested for drug traficking

The Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC)has arrested a 23 year old daughter of Patriotic Front Chimwemwe Member of Parliament Willie Nsanda for illegal possession of cocaine.
DEC public Relations manager John Nyawali has confirmed that Jasmine Mutale Nsanda was arrested from Blue Water Motel in Chawama Township following a successful trail.
Ms. Nsanda was arrested together with Ibrahim Richard Phiri a local businessman of Chawama Township who was found with 3 sachets of cocaine and K200, 000 believed to be proceeds of cocaine sells.
The duo is detained in custody and will appear in court soon, said Nyawali.
And Nyawali revealed that 26 people were arrested countrywide on the Independence Day for trafficking in different quantities of cannabis with a total weight of 17.2 kilograms.
Among those arrested is a 52 year old Congolese national who was found with an assortment of controlled medicinal drugs.
Joseph Mutumba was also found with Lidocaine, a controlled an anesthetic drug which has the same effects as cocaine and is sometimes abused to illegally conduct circumcision in clandestine theatres.
