MP Tutwa faces contempt of court charges

Law Association of Zambia President Eddie Mwitwa has asked the Constitutional Court to cite Kabwe central MP Tutwa Ngulube for contempt of court.

Mwitwa has told the court that Ngulube’s running commentaries on radio, TV and social media on a case that is active in court is designed to impede and prejudice the administration of justice, and to further prejudge the case in court.

This is in the case where LAZ has petitioned the President, the Attorney General and the National Assembly, challenging their decision to alter the Constitution in the manner set out in the Constitution of Zambia (Amendment) Bill No 10 of 2019.
