Mpumalanga Black Aces striker Collins Mbesuma scores a brace

PSL joint-top scorer and Chipolopolo striker Collins Mbesuma scored twice on Wednesday night as his side Mpumalanga Black Aces beat Golden Arrows 2-1.

Mbesuma has now increased his goal tally to three.

Mbesuma was on target last week against Orlando Pirates and recently scored for the national team in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

“First of all I have to help the team and the most important thing is the team, and individual accolades come after,” said Mbesuma, who banged an unmatched 35 goals for Kaizer Chiefs in 2004/05.

“We need to finish in the top three and win trophies. As a striker you have to think to score every chance you get in every game.

The coach said, ‘You are my experienced player and you have been in football,’ and now we got a good relationship and he is helping me a lot.”

The 31-year-old also stressed the importance of looking after one’s body.

Mbesuma is sharing the top scorer position with six other players.
