The business community in Muchinga province shunned a meeting called by Commerce minister Bob Sichinga.
Mr. Sichinga who, like other ministers, are making allowances for festival season was disappointed that no one went for his meeting.
Sichinga described the behaviour of the business community as retrogressive to the development of the country.
The minister is one of the many that have been loitering around the country making allowances for Christmas break since parliament adjourned a two weeks ago that saw approval of building president Michael Sata’s retirement mansion and first-lady’s globe-trotting allowances.
Mr. Sichinga told the District Commissioner that he would draw other allowances and get back to the province to look for the same people who snubbed him and meet them.
