Mulongoti accuses ZIALE of making candidates fail exams

Peoples’ Party (PP) president Mike Mulongoti has accused the Zambia Institute for Advanced Legal Education (ZIALE) of deliberately making students (lawyers) fail examinations.
Mulongoti charged that ZIALE was intentionally limiting the number of candidates who pass the legal practitioners certificate examinations adding that it was unfortunate for so many students to be failing every year when thousands of people are in prison due to lack of legal representation.
Only 75 of the 323 lawyers who sat for the legal practitioners certificate exams passed and will be admitted to the bar while 248 failed.
Mulongoti got his law degree when he was a minister in the MMD government and graduated with a ‘silent’ degree.
