Musicians condemn PF violence

Musicians – Runnel, Saboi Imboela, Brian Shakarongo, Maiko Zulu, Leo Muntu and Kings ‘Malembe Malembe’ Mumbi – held a press briefing yesterday at Lui Guest House in Lusaka to condemn political violence being perpetrated by political parties in the run up to the 20th January 2014 presidential elections.
Last week, machete-weilding PF cadres attacked a UPND campaign team of Maureen Mwanawasa and Mutale Nalumango as they were landing by helicopter in Shiwang’andu, while yesterday, a PF cadre and former deputy minister Imbwae Imasiku attacked a UPND provincial trustee with a plank leaving the retired policeman unconscious at Mongu airport.
In Sinda, PF cadres attacked a UPND supporter they found at the station. He is still unconscious in hospital.
Kings Malembe Malembe prayed for all those causing political violence to be retired from living by God.
“We pray for peace in this great nation. We pray against violence. Father God may You retire all those that are causing violence from living,” he prayed.
