Musicians Kanene, Mulaza deny stealing copper

Musicians Mulaza Kaira popularly known as Marcky 2, Clifford Kanene Dimba known as General Kanene and Hone FM DJ Mwinde Khumalo have pleaded not guilty to one count of theft of copper alloy valued at over nine hundred and seventy eighty million Kwacha.

Particulars of the offence are that the trio on 23rd July 2011, jointly and whilst acting together with other unknown persons allegedly stole cobalt alloy property of Ningble Chwengei Import and Export Company.

The property is said to have been on fleet number ABJ 2808 and trailer number ABS 2022 which was enroute to Durban, South Africa.

The trio who are appearing before Ndola Magistrate Collins Lunda are being represented by Chimuka Magubwe, a lawyer from Magubwe and Associates.
