Muteteka says still studying his suspension

Suspended Movement for Multiparty Democracy Chisamba Member of Parliament, Moses Muteteka says he is currently studying the grounds of his suspension from the former ruling party.

Mr. Muteteka said he will only make his final stance over his suspension from the party after a thorough and careful analysis of the reasons advanced by the National Executive Committee.

Mr. Muteteka, who is also MMD Youth National Chairman, told ZANIS in an interview in Lusaka today that once this is done, he will then make his next move.

Yesterday, MMD National Executive Committee (NEC) decided to slap a suspension on Mr. Muteteka for allegedly having caused confusion in the former ruling party.

According to a letter of suspension dated February 29, 2012 and signed by party National Secretary Major Richard Kachingwe, Mr. Muteteka is charged with insubordination, misconduct and contravening party regulations among other offences.

Major Kachingwe also stated that Muteteka contravened the provisions of the party constitution, regulations, rules, orders and decisions.

He also contended that Mr. Muteteka’s continuous attacks on the party leadership through the press have been received as an act of disloyalty and that it has put the party in an awkward situation a thing he said will not be condoned in the MMD
