MUZ plunderer sends death threats to Daily Nation journalist

house 2MINEWORKERS Union of Zambia (MUZ) General Treasurer Terry Simbeye this afternoon sent death threats to the Daily Nation Reporter Rogers Kalero whom he accused of sending a story of financial management at MUZ to the Zambian Watchdog.
Mr Simbeye called the Daily Nation Reporter on his number  0977180714 (Simbeye’s number ) and told him that he would make sure that he goes  under because the story he had sent to the Zambian Watch Dog had  scandalized him very much.
The MUZ General Treasurer was reacting to a story on the Zambian Watch Dog which said there was rampant financial  mismanagement of MUZ resources and funds and named Mr Simbeye, a well known PF cadre as one of the biggest culprits in the plunder.
“You have scandalized me very much by sending that  story to the Zambian Watchdog and i will also make sure that you go  under, ” said Mr Simbeye before he hanged up the phone.
When the  Daily Nation Reporter was about to respond that he was not a Reporter  for the Zambian Watchdog,  but for the Daily Nation, Mr Simbeye had  already hanged up.
This is the second time the Daily Nation Reporter is being accused of reporting for the Zambian Watch Dog.
The second incident happened almost three weeks ago when a Daily Nation  Reporter in Kabwe was chased from the meeting by the Kabwe District  Commissioner who accused him of Reporting for the Zambian Watchdog.
During the week, Mr Simbeye has been fuming and calling the Daily Nation Reporter with  statements aimed at playing on his mind and psychology, but the Daily  Nation scribe has been unshaken, a situation which led to him to send  death threats.
At one time, he said he would ensure that whoever sent the story to the Zambian Watchdog about MUZ and its assets like David Mwila House was either  sent to jail to rot or he becomes a destitute.
Mr Simbeye, who panicked over the story on the Zambian Watch Dog, said one  of the tenants at David Mwila house where the union had increased  rentals was behind the story on the Zambian Watchdog.
“I know the person behind this story on the Zambian Watchdog. He is  Kaonde by tribe, but i will not mention his name. The fact is i know him  and i will make sure that he either rots in jail or he becomes a destitute.
“He has touched the blessed one and he will see what will happen to him.  Even God says do not touch the blessed one, but now that he has touched  the blessed one, he has landed himself in problems,” said a fuming Mr  Simbeye.
At one time, he called the Daily Nation Reporter and told him that he was carrying out  investigations to establish who was behind the story and which computer  was used to send the story.
He also said if there were Journalists like you involved in the story,  they would be identified and heads would row because he was not happy  with the story.
“We are investigating this matter to know who sent the story and which computer was used. If Reporters  involved like you are involved, heads will row. Am just telling you so  that you know,” He said before cutting the line.
