Mwanawasa’ widow lobbies for job from Sata

Maureen Mwanawasa is said to be asking president Michael Sata to appoint her Justice Minister.

The Watchdog is reliably informed that from the time Sebastian Zulu was axed, Maureen has been busy ‘pushing  her CV’.

But the widow of the Levy Mwanawasa is facing opposition from the owners of PF like Geoffrey Mwamba who see her as a threat to the presidential ambitions.

Mwamba, the defence minister, Given Lubinda the Foreign Affairs minister and Wynter Kabimba are currently engaged in an nundergorund battle to succeed Sata.

The entry of Maureen would therefore upset the tables as she has also declared before that she is interested to be president of Zambia.

During the last memorial service of her husband, most senior PF officials ignored the service by not attending it but Maureen was heard saying she is willing to work under Sata.

Sata is still yet to replace Sebastian Zulu.
