Mwata Kazembe tells PF to fund tangible projects not clubs

Chief Mwata Kazembe of the Lunda people in Mwansabombwe district has urged politicians to choose tangible projects that can benefit many people.

Mwata Kazembe says he has discovered that many projects to be funded under the 2012 Constituency Development Fund (CDF) in his chiefdom are club-based.

He was speaking in Mwansabombwe on when Kawambwa District Commissioner, Ivo Mpasa called on him at his palace.

The chief noted that funding clubs using the CDF will not solve anything as members will just share the money, thereby retarding development in his area.

Mwata Kazembe said projects such as rehabilitating roads and buying an ambulance for the zonal health centre in the area would benefit the masses and not clubs that are just for individuals.

He has urged politicians to avoid using CDF to please those who helped them during campaigns because the funds are for development in the area.
