My ministers have already spoken on security situation-President Lungu

President Edgar Lungu says there is no need for him to address the nation on the gassing of citizens by criminal elements.
Speaking when he met EU head of missions at State House on Thursday morning, President Lungu said he has noted that some people want to hear his voice over the current security situation in the country.
He said his ministers have adequately addressed the matter through statements to the media and in parliament adding that he will only address the nation on the security situation at the ‘right’ time.
Several stakeholders have been calling on the president to address the nation on the security situation following the gassing of people by criminal elements and the mob killings of people suspected of being behind the gassing. Over 43 people have so far been killed by mobs in the past one month.
